Low hear rate and sometimes dizziness
Hi doctor, Sometimes at night my heart rate goes 48, 46 when I was lying on bed(not sleeping). I also feel dizzy sometimes. But in day time my heart rate will be above 55 only. Medical history: 1)I was covid recovered 3 months back. It's a mild covid. Recovered from home isolation. 2) I have gastric problem too. After covid only I found that my heart rate goes below 60. I never observed low hear rate before covid Note: before covid I had 2D ECHO and serum cholesterol test, which is normal Do I need to go for any other tests again? Will low heart rate dangerous?

Hi. In young people low heart rate while drifting jnto sleep or asleep is normal. However if yourlow heart rate is associated with symptoms of dizziness then you need to get evaluated. You may need other tests like Thyroid profile and serum electrolytes to see if everything is ok If your heart rate is increasing proportionately to your activity then it is ok
Next Steps
Seek consultation with a doctor for proper evaluation
Health Tips
If low heart rate with dizziness persists and other tests are normal you may need further evaluation with 24 hours Holter test
