Low HCG level
Hi My fourth week ended yesterday. I had my beta HCG test done  today value is 81. day before yesterday it was 52. Is it slow rising or a matter of concern?

Please do tv scan after one week, observe for pain in abdomen, vomiting drowsiness then consult gyanaecologist

Yes slow rise is a matter of concern We need to rule out ectopic pregnancy

It is very early pregnancy dear. If titres are not doubling it is a concern. Ultrasound won’t be useful at this stage because levels of HCG are below discriminatory zone.

Take strict bedrest Avoid stress and dehydration and travel and lifting weights and intercourses Capsule Susten 200 mg twice a day for 2 weeks Mothers Horlicks two spoons with milk two times a day for two weeks Repeat ultrasound pelvis done for uterus tubes and ovaries and gestational sac after 2 weeks
