Low Ferritin during pregnancy
I’m 24 weeks pregnant. Recently checked my Ferritin levels. It was 23.53 ng/ml. Pl advise if this considered as normal level during pregnancy.
My Doctor has advised me to take 3 IV Iron injections. I am taking oral Iron supplements (Ferrous Sulphate- 150 gm) daily.
Pl advise if the injections are necessary or increasing the dosage of Iron supplement will be enough. Thanks

Oral tablets can be continued if hb more than 7,otherwise iv iron is required.
