Hello, this situation is due to immobility, and as of now, as no exercise is advisable. As you recover and start your daily lifestyle you would loose the gained weight. Till then try reducing the fat intake and concentrate on the fats coming from invisible sources, that is from nuts and oil seeds. Include 1st class proteins in your diet, coming from low fat milk and milk products, lean meats and egg white, or through a blend of cereals and pulses. Reduce the intake of refined and processed cereals and simple carbohydrates. Include complex carbohydrates and fiber, coming from whole grain cereals and pulses, wheat bran, oats, etc. prefer whole vegetables and fruits rather than their juices.
