Liver enzymes SGOT and SGPT are raised with mild increase in bilirubin. It could be due to various causes. Sometimes during infections like viral fever, typhoid etc may also cause rise in these enzymes. There are also some viral hepatitis which may cause it. So a detailed history regarding recent fever, rash, bodyache, any treatment received, alcohol consumption etc is important to find out the cause. You should also get USG upper abdomen. General advice would be to take plenty of fluids, avoid any self medication as some medicine may have side effects to liver. Depending on its cause you may be advised more specific treatment.
