Liver enzymes increased
Hi , I was suffering from cough and dr prescribed me tuberculosis medicine but report doesn't sh ow tuberculosis but my ADA is increased a bit. Liver enzymes - SGOT- 702 SGPT - 212 AST:ALT ratio - 3.24 Alkaline phosphate - 146 Bilrubin total - 0.55 Bilrubin direct - 0.28 Bilrubin indirect - 0.29 Total protein - 8.80 A:G ratio - 0.76 What may be the cause of high liver enzymes. Is there anything to worry. Please advise.

Dear Mam The increase in liver enzymes is most likely because of DILI ( Drug induced liver injury). TB medicines  may cause that. Need to change anti TB drugs accordingly.
