Lipid profile.
Hello my total cholesterol is 215mg/dl with triglycerides at 145mg/dl, hdl at 33 ldl at 153. Please suggest how to improve my hdl and reduce ldl. Also should I start medication to reduce ldl? I am 33 year old with normal blood sugar. And not on any medication.

The lipids are just borderline. By themselves do not require any intervention.No medicines for you. In general the HDL cholesterol is managed with exercise and some dietary modifications. As such medicines have not been proven to be useful.
