Lipid problem
My cholesterol was 206 n triglycerides was 467. Doctor prescribed statin 10mg and fenofibrate 145 mg. After taking for sometime , lipid levels significantly decreased. Two months back, i stopped taking these medicines, cut down sugar, sodium, oil and started one hour daily walking. My question is , should i repeat lipid profile test? In case it is again on higher side, which i am suspecting, wat is your recommendation, dietary changes or continue again with lowest dosages or alternative safer medicine. One thing like to mention , have been taking beta blocker namely metolar for hypertension

If again raised then have to restart medicine.

Get your thyroid test, urine test for albumin, liver function test. Derangement in any of these can cause incresed tryglyceride levels. Cut down alcohol to zero if consuming at all..And ofcourse recheck full lipid profile.
