Light Sensitivity , Dry Eyes , Headache
Dear doctor 1. From the past month , increasingly , All light sources look to bright to me . Now even car indicators and small LED bulbs shine in my eyes . 2. I also feel my eyes are dry even when I am washing them with cold water 7 to 8 times a day . 3 . I am also getting one sided ( only on left ) headaches for past 2 days ( I feel the left eye is more troubled than the right ) . These headaches reduce significantly if I rest my eyes ( i take a nap ) but it keeps re-occuring . Please advise me what to do . Thanks

While working on computer number of blinking drastically goes down from around 24 per minute to around 8 per minute leading to severe dryness causing burning ,eyestrain, temporary blurring of vision,& headache. One should try to have normal blinking while working on computer ,should look away from screen after every 10 minute& should take rest for 10 minutes after every two hours. You should also use lubricating eye drops( Systane ultra) 5-6 times daily & genteal gel once at bed time.
