Light flow after taking regestrone

Asked for Female, 38 Years

I had missed my period which was due on 18th march. After waiting for 7 days, i took regestrone, twice a day for 5 days. Bleeding started after 3 days of stopping the pills. But the flow is light. No spotting but very light flow. Red in color. Not brown. Pregnancy test was negative. Why am i getting a light flow?
