There are different types of white lesions which can be identified only clinically and histologically. I’ll advise you to consult an Oral Medicine specialist. Based on the examination, the lesion can be treated with medicines (antioxidants) and Laser ablation. Many white lesions are potentially malignant (more so if there is an associated tobacco habit) and hence treatment is strongly advised.
