I am losing my weight gradually. When i was 14 i was fit and when i have turned to 16, my body has become extremely thin. It appears like i have no strength and i fell tired all the time. I take my diet properly and at proper time but no result. What to do to increase my weight and grow my height too. Please help me dear doctors. I am really upset of reduced weight and thin body😔

Hi there...I can understand your concern. You must remember that as you grow old, your diet requirements will also increase. Also your weight is proportionate to your height. So you can relax. As you know few people have very high basic metabolism rate. It will be difficult for them to gain weight. Also one should remember gaining weight and losing weight is a very gradual process. It will a lot of time, patience and determination. You must follow a healthy diet and exercise schedule. Start having food rich in proteins like pulses, soyabeans, vegetables, fruits, egg whiteboiled , boiled chicken. Regarding exercises, start cycling or swimming, whatever you are comfortable with and enjoy most. Along with it try doing high bar excercises. You can also visit a dietician and endocrinologist for further queries.
