Most likely causes 1. Fungal infection (Tinea pedis / athlete’s foot) – most common • Itching, dryness, mild scaling • Often affects one toe or toe-web initially 2. Irritant or contact dermatitis • Due to sweat, tight shoes, soap, detergent, or footwear material 3. Dry skin (xerosis) • Especially if feet stay dry or you wash frequently ⚠️ Unlikely to be: diabetes, nerve disease, or systemic illness since there is no pain, no swelling, and localized involvement only.
Next Steps
First-line treatment (most effective) • Antifungal cream (choose one): • Clotrimazole 1% OR • Ketoconazole 2% • Apply twice daily for 2–3 weeks, even if itching improves earlier. If skin is very dry • Apply a light moisturizer (petroleum jelly or urea-based cream) at night only • Do not mix moisturizer with antifungal at the same time
Health Tips
• Keep feet dry; change socks daily • Avoid tight shoes; prefer breathable footwear • Dry between toes after bathing • Do not scratch • Don’t share towels or footwear ⸻ When to see a doctor • If no improvement in 10–14 days • If redness spreads, cracking worsens, or discharge appears • If itching becomes severe or recurrent ⸻ This is a very common and treatable condition, especially at your age. With the right cream and foot care, it usually clears completely without complications. If you’d like, an online consultation can help confirm the diagnosis and fine-tune treatment so you heal faster and comfortably.

Diagnosis: fungal infection (candidall intertrigos)
Next Steps
Treatment: lulibet 1% cream twice/day
Health Tips
tinea intertrigo caution Tinea intertrigo (fungal infection in skin folds) requires keeping affected areas (underarms, under breasts, groin, between toes) clean, dry, and cool to prevent worsening. avoiding tight clothing, minimizing moisture with powders/antifungals, not mixing creams with powders, and seeking care for signs of secondary infection like foul odor or spreading. Prevent Moisture & Friction: Keep skin folds dry after bathing by patting, not rubbing. Use a hair dryer on a "cool" setting to dry skin-fold areas. Wear loose-fitting, breathable cotton clothing and avoid synthetic fabrics, which trap heat and sweat Do not apply ointment and powder at the same time, as this creates a tacky, irritating paste.
