Hello
Your doctor will perform few tests like pentagram to evaluate corneal topography and thickness and fundus examination and if all these tests are okay then lasik can be done
Avoid contact lens atleast 2weeks before planning these tests
You will be able to join job after a week

You will have to withdraw your contacts at.least one wks before surgery. As such there are not many restrictions but you must take care of rubbing and exposure to dust smoke and sun. And have to use some lubricant and other medicines as prescribed by your doctor.
