Laser hair removal bikini. Negatively.

Dear Maam, Thank you for your query regarding ND YAG laser hair removal and effect on fertility. Utility of laser on skin for the purpose of hair removal is usually considered safe with minimal local adverse effects like pigmentation and skin reactions. Please ensure you are not pregnant prior to and during use of laser near the pelvic region to avoid potential pregnancy complications. This is however theoretical as I believe the strength of LASER used for purpose of epilation has negligible effect on deep pelvic organs like uterus and ovaries. However my knowledge regarding laser for epilation is limited (as the utility of laser in gynaecology is different)  and it would be great to consult a dermatologist familiar with this procedure before embarking on treatment.
