Hi.i underwent laproscopy last week since my appendix had ruptured..the infection had spread in stomach cavity n hence appendix was not removed.only pus n abcess was drained out.now i am discharged with medicines.
1)What is the scope of my appendix getting infected again since it is not removed
2)what steps should i take to ensure my appendix is healed n i have no issues in future requiring appendix removal n related surgery?

Appendicular abscess is an emergency procedure, due to non visualisation of appendix base it wouldn't have been removed. You may need elective surgery after a few weeks.
