Hi
Lamotrigene is not used as a first line drug for OCD or Anxiety.
However it has been used for augmentation therapy with other drug, when response is not good with first drug.
Ask your Psychiatrist for the reason why he/ she has prescribed this.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks and regards.

Psychiatrists usually prescribe a specific medication taking into account the entire history of your symptoms. As a psychologist, i am not eligible to comment on whether you should take a specific medication or not. However most psychiatrists do advise that you take a medication for 3-5 days and share feedback with them. They modify the doze or change the medication according to your body’s response. Remember that Google may tell you a lot about a medication, but it’s still not your doctor who has years of training and expertise in his or her field.
If your doubts persist about the medication, take second opinion from a psychiatrist.
