Is lacunar infarct a stroke,1 year ago my Dad was suffering from Bell's palsy and completely fine and at that time we had done a Ct scan and the report came lacunar infarct and currently taking Rosuvastatin and Aspirin tablets so Is lacunar infarct stroke and how long Aspirin should my Dad take,Pls reply me Sir Thank you

Lacunar infarcts are due to clot in small penetrating arteries of the brain
Stroke is of two types hemorrhagic where the is bleeding in the brain and ischemic where part of brain doesn’t receive blood due to clot in vessels
Lacunar infarcts are types of ischemic stroke
For Bell’s palsy continue the aspirin and rosuvastatin
Need to know the reason for Bell’s palsy
If it was due to high blood pressure then need to control blood pressure first
Aspirin tablet can’t be stopped suddenly
Consult a neurologist nearby your home to assess and evaluate

Also best investigation to look for stroke is MRI so the brain angio and not ct scan so his actual stokes will be seen only on MRI SCAN BRAIN
