Three years ago when I took Ibuprofen 400mg,I got stomach burning after 12 hours (possible gastritis/ulcer) and after 24 hours also vomiting. This time, I took diclofenac 50mg in the morning and also added Ranitidine 150 mg along with it. Also took it with food.
But still, i got stomach burn after 12 hours.
I was still yet to take my second dose of diclofenac with Rantac 150 again but this burning episode happened even before that.
I have 2 questions
1. Is my stomach too damn sensitive?
2. Or its that the rantidine effect ceases after 12 hours , thats the reason i got stomach burn? But to my knowledge in 12 hours even diclofenac 50 mg dose should have left the body causing no more prostanglandin disruption.
3. How long a single tablet of nsaid disrupts the protective layer ?
4. Will ppi be a sureshot solution? As 1 tab lasts 24 hours .
5. PPI should be taken single dose in the morning followed by the diclofenac twice a day. Or ppi should be b.i.d as well each time with diclofenac?

Take cap Cyra D in the morning ½ hr before breakfast and night time take rantac 150 before dinner and if u have too much gastric burning then take diclofenac in between ur meals

Heart burns are common with pain killers.
And rantac should be taken twice daily but half an hour before food for proper action .
Ppi acts best for heart burns and it should be taken once daily in empty stomach.
