Knee swelling with pain
Good morning doctors! My mom, aged 53 y/o. Is a homemaker & Already having pain in her knees since she's a sit-home person and her body weight is above 75kgs. Her knees started swelling after long activities of ups and downs on stairs while distributing cards for family marriage. Any medications or treatment that can help her? Ur kind suggestions are highly appreciated!

The symptoms are suggestive of Osteoarthritis of the knee. It is an Age related damage to the knee which usually happens a lot faster in obese individuals and females after menopause.
Next Steps
She needs to get an Orthopaedic consult to see how bad the joint is. If in early stages then the joint destruction can be slowed with a combination of medicines and physiotherapy and lifestyle modifications. Later stages need a replacement surgery.
