Does drinking water effects the knee ? I have been drinking filtered water (which does not have any minerals in it) since years .Now I have severe knee problems, and most of the time I sit without wandering. What are the measures that are need to be taken to reduce the knee pains.

Hi there...I can understand your concern. But drinking filtered water will have no effect on your knee pain. Knee pain at your age could be due to obesity(ideal weight for your height is around 45 to 50kgs), osteoarthritis, ligament or meniscus injury. Firstly you need to start reducing your weight. Consult a dietician for that. Secondly you need to examined clinically for the knee joint pain. So kindly consult a orthopedic for further evaluation.
