I have been having pain on the left side of my kbee as well as directly behind it . I cannot run confortably and i cannot fully squat or put pressure on my knee as i will feel a stinging sensation

You need to avoid squatting , kneeling and stair climbing for now. Do lot of knee strengthening exercises and once the muscles are strong enough to support the knee you can do everything as regular .strengthening exercises will include quads, knee bending in prone, straight leg raising etc
