Knee Infection after a surgery
Hi Dr.I am from Kenya and my grandma undergone a surgery several months ago where she was implanted with a metal in both knees.One knee recovered very well but the other knee developed an inflammation that then busted to produce pus.A clinical officer has been dressing the wound for several months but the pus is not stopping to ooze out.
Kindly help me with the best treatment to prevent the pus discharge.We have used Clindamycin to no avail.

Hi. Pls send the pus for culture and sensitivity to microbiology laboratory. Once reports come pls give appropriate antibiotics according to culture report
