Kidney stone
This condition is for my brother. He is 40 years old. Doctor is advising to do laser.Can this be treated without any surgery. Please advise. Left kidney-mild hydroureteronephrosis noted. Evidence of calculus measuring 4.3 mm noted in lower pole. Also evidence of calculus noted measuring 6.2mm in lower ureter 1.0cm proximal to VUJ.

Yes....!!! We can try few medicines to expulse stone of its own..!! As the stone is less than 1 cm, there is a chance that it may come out of its own..!! But this medicines should be tried only upto 10-14 days from the start of symptoms...!! If it doesnt come out within this period then surgery should be considered.!!
