Kidney Stone
Pain in left flank since 11Nov17. Pls see USG Report below & suggest if the stone will get removed thru meds or intervention (like ureteroscopy) is needed. Rt. KIDNEY normal in size & echotexture. 9.9 x 4.6 cms. No direct evidence calculus. LEFT KIDNEY normal in size & echotexture. 10.0 x 5.2cms. Normal cortical thickness. Cortico-medullary differentiation well maintained. Left kidney shows mild prominence of pelvicalyceal system due to a calculus of 3.5 mm at distal ureter.

Usually 3.5 mm stone in the ureter comes out spontaneously with help of medicine Surgery will be needed only if stone is not coming out or if severe and repeated attacks of pain persist...
