Kidney Stone
Hi, I went through a CT scan and in the report a stone of 6mm was diagnosed in the end of Ureter. I have been asked to drink lot of water. 1. Are there any restrictions around food items which I should not take? Like Milk or something... or are they just myths? 2. In the ct scan report, I was going through and saw a line "Few Mesenteric lymph nodes seen and one of size 7mm" Doctor didn't say anything about this, But I noticed this and was curious. Can you please help me in understanding whether this needs any attention or not. Thanks a lot!

Hi..... Most stones that cause renal colic are small and pass out with the urine in a day or so. You should drink plenty of fluids to encourage a good flow of urine. Strong painkillers are often needed to ease the painuntil you pass the stone. No other treatment is usually needed. Some stones that form and stick in the kidney do not cause symptoms or any harm. They can just be left if they are small. ...,,
