Kidney problem
I have solitary kidney.only my left kidney functioning from birth which I came to know during my first child birth.no treatment prescribed.recently had stone problem in left kidney n treated. I want to know what test I should do to know if my kidney functioning normally?

Hello. Since you have a solitary functioning kidney which has been affected by stones, you should be following up with a nephrologist periodically so that any problem with it can be identified in advance and managed pro actively. As far as kidney function is concerned blood urea and serum creatinine are basic blood tests that would give a fair idea about the functioning of the solitary kidney.
