Kid swollen the coin
Hi dr, my nephew (age 8yr)swollen the coin of 1 rs before 2 weeks n still it stuks in stomach, not yet came out last week we have done one more xray, n dr said that it came into intestine, how many more days it took to came out n is it harmful plz suggest. Attaching 2 x-rays (gap of 10 days) for reference. Plz help

A coin generally does not cause any injury to the gut. You can wait for another 1-2 weeks. The coin should generally pass out by that time, provide your child is not constipated. But it will be good if you stay on follow up with a Paediatric surgeon.
