I had jock itch 1.5 year back.
I consulted a doctor and followed a course of medicine for 1 month. The skin was very dark in my groin. He said it will go over a time.
I trim my pubic hair and apply dusting powder to keep the area clean and dry.
The skin has improved a lot but the darkness in area is still there and the skin feels little different from the other part of body.
I have no rashes or irritation but the dark skin is very embarrassing. And it does feel very soft.

Hi.. The dark skin you have at the groin area can due to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation because of fungal infection or it can a part of frictional melanosis.
Usually this kind of pimentation takes a long time. Better consult a dermatologist to further management. He may prescribe some topical creams and cosmetic procedure if required
Thanks

Untreated or delayed treatment of fungal infections often leads to a pigmentation on the areas affected. If there are no active signs of infection at the moment, some treatment to make the skin colour back to normal can be started. However it takes time and has a natural course. Hope it helps.
