My grandson is 9 days and in jaundice test report says Bilirubin total (Diazo Method) shows result 16.0 while Bilirubin direct (Diazo Method) result is 0.5. Dr. sir please advise about seriousness of the case and whether some medicines are required. thanks and regards

It's a physiological jaundice. If baby is weight is more than 3kg,baby not looking Very yellow, feeding well,not to do much,only can repeat steps.billirubin after 48hour to see whether it's increasing or decreasing. If it's decreasing forget about jaundice,your baby is fine.
