Jaundice off AKT for 3 weeks
My mom was treated for TB. No tests were positive but put on medication as symptoms were positive. Aftr recievng AKT4 for 25 days her lfts derailed and was off AKT. Once they were normal suplimenty medication were prescrobed. She was put back on AKT for about 15 days and again withheld as the lfts were derailed. Now she is off AKT for about three weeks and the liver still shows further derailment. All hepatitis tests are negative too. Plz advice.

She has AKT drug induced hepatitis. She will require gradual and intermittent introduction of AKT drugs. Unfortunately many of effective AKT drugs and toxic to liver.
