Ivabrad and ascoril
I have been prescribed ivabrad 5 mg for twice a day . But today i was i having cough so i took ascoril syurp after taking it my heartbeat went high . Whether both medicine can be taken together or not?

Using salbutamol active component of ascoril, together with ivabradine can increase the risk of an irregular heart rhythm that may be serious and potentially life-threatening, although it is a rare side effect.ascoril itself causes a increase in the heart rate and therefore you should consult with your doctor to substitute ascoril with alternative.
