IUI & Uterine infection?
When my doc did IUI, she told me that I have uterine infection and she has put me on doxycycline along with progesterone. She also said it may not work this time if any infection is there. Will IUI be performed if I have uterine infection? Isn't there any protocol that these things must be ruled out before making me undergo the procedure? Please let me know the protocol of IUI

Yes there are protocols for doing IUI as well. All the basic investigation required for couples are done, then medicine for ovarian stimulation are given to patient from Day 2 of cycle. When the eggs mature trigger is given and IUI is done when follicles rupture.. All the infections and pathology is ruled in previous cycle only for better success of IUI
