Itching on legs
Itching on legs below knee, tried applying creams but looks like itching is worse when applying cream - pouring warm water over the area is effective , but if not done everyday the itching will start again - very dry skin below the knees

You might be suffering from winter eczema which is due to dry skin. You will need to use a moisturising lotion like cetaphil DAM or physiogel AI 3 to 4 times a day. And a steroid lotion (for which you will need a prescription) twice a day(on top of moisturiser). You can stop the steroid lotion after one or two weeks. Continue with moisturiser twice daily. Change over to a moisturising soap or body wash. You can also take an anti itch tablet like Levocetrizine once at night. I would recommend you visit a dermatologist if the itching doesn't come down with the above mentioned moisturising lotions so that a proper diagnosis can be made and you can have medicines prescribed.
