Itching in pubic area
I had itching red skin and scaling earlier in inner thighs and now it is in scortal sac it is not intense as earlier I just want to know if it is okay to use the clotrimazole cream as prescribed by doctor earlier. It looks I have Jock itch

? Tinea cruris ..according to your description. Use antifungal cream like lulican or lulifin cream twice daily for 6 weeks..tab.terbinafine 250 mg(zimig ) daily once after food for 4 weeks. Kz soap for bathing. Once the infection comes down use dusting powder(Abzorb) twice daily in between the thighs , avoid tight clothings .. don't wear undergarments in the nights..maintain local hygiene , dont wear wet clothes..use clothes(undergarment) when it completely dry in between thighs.

Thanks for the query. Fungal infection is becoming an increasing problem due to rampant usage of antifungals. Please see a dermatologist as some extra medications are coprescribed many a times to treat. If needed a simple skin test can also be done. Till then use only OTC anti-allergic medications to control itching. Personal hygiene should be good. Wear loose fitting clothes
