Itching during pregnancy
My wife is running into 3rd month of pregnancy and from past 1 week she is getting some burning sensation and itching in her vagina on daily basis. Is this something expected behaviour during this period? If not can you please suggest what can be done to avoid such problems? Thanks in advance

Thank you for your question. This discomfort is very common during pregnancy but it is not normal. The commonest cause is a yeast infection which can be treated by your gynaecologist. It is important however to get examined as other infections can also present with itching. Your doctor may also screen her for diabetes. hope this helps. please do not self medicate as several medicines are not safe during pregnancy
