TSH level in pregnancy
My wife is 15 days pregnant and his TSH level 4.59 . It is normal in pregnancy or not. If she take medicine then after pregnancy any adverse effect . Pls advice what is good for Halth .

Hello ... Normal TSH level in pregnant woman is less than 2.5 with a range of 0.1-2.5 in first trimester of pregnancy....so yours is little above the normal level...T4 levels should be checked to determine whether the hypothyroidism is overt or subclinical.If T4 is low, the diagnosis is hypothyroidism, so get T4 count and consult general physician with report.
