Itchiness on scalp

Itchiness on scalp and groin areas. On scalp when scratch it produces powdery dandruff sometimes oily too. And patches of itchiness in groin area. Should I visit a dermatologist or any home remedies could't be tried before zeroing in on a doctor's appointment?
