I visited dermatologist last month..i have very mild acne and freckles..he suggested me isotretinoin 10mg..after 20 days he raised dose to 20mg..i haven't suffered any side effects yet..but still i am concerned about it..as i have read that it has very severe and permanent side effects..like mental damage, infertility, hair loss etc..should i continue or stop it..or does its side effects disappears after stopping it or it has a permanent side effects..

the side effects you are referring to, are seen in very few individuals. report to your dermatologist if you see any side effects. discuss with your doctor about alternate options if you are worried about the side effects
