Hi I am 36 year old female diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa. My Father also had this condition which was detected very late. I am recently diagnosed with this and now worried about the same. Is there any treatment for this condition? If yes kindly suggest what will be the permanent treatment?

There are many varieties of Retinitis pigmentosa. Need to figure what is yours and is it associated with other systemic features.
It is probably hereditary as your father had it. Would suggest you gene analysis and genetic counseling for same to look the type of gene you are carrying. Rest would depend on the detailed pedigree and analysis.
The treatment part as far as concerned are all in trial phases and mostly awaited to be carried out on humans.
Next Steps
consult vitreoretina specialist, genetic counselor. let me know if you need some help.
