I have a cold sore on my top lip but I prevented it on time. There’s no current blister but there are tiny smaller ones that can hardly be seen. I’ve applied ice and petroleum jelly on it. However, my lip feels dry and crusty. Is the cold sore healing? When do I completely know it has healed? Should I keep applying ice on it?

Winter cracks are natural in some persons. If left untreated it may break up to form an ulcer. Application of Vaseline or petroleum belly or butter is ok. But, Not ice.
