Is implant required?
I am going to get my molar teeth no 8 and its adjacent wisdom teeth extracted as the molar teeth is completely decayed. Please advice whether I need to go for an implant. What would happen if I don't go for an implant in the short and long run?

Hello Post doing your clinical evaluation and considering various factors we can decide if implant is required or not. Replacement post extraction is mandatory as it will take care of your bite. Implant is a very good treatment option and the success rate is great if the treatment planning is done the right way. If you don't get the extracted tooth replaced then your occlusion can be affected and you can even face difficulty in chewing food and change in profile. More clarity on the situation can be discussed after clinical evaluation of your oral cavity.
Next Steps
Visit the dentist and get a proper treatment planned after a detailed diagnosis
Health Tips
If you decide on an implant it can be done on the same day of extraction prevention you to face surgery twice and various other advantages
