Is eye pain and headache related?

I am a 37-year-old female and I have a 10-year-old son who has developed ear infection through something. I don’t know what to do now. Can someone guide me in understanding the variety of ear infection medicines available so that I get my son the best treatment for this problem? Thanks!!
