Is dual/double marker test really import
Our doctor has suggested for double marker test ,but other doctors for my friends didn't mention the test. is it really necessary??

Hi.. Usually we get a NTscan along with dual marker test done between 11 to 13+6 weeks period of gestation especially to rule out Down syndrome and other chromosomal deformities in the fetus

Necessary to rule out abnormal baby very early so that we can plan termination if baby is not good

Not necessary but it is a tool to help us determine the risk of Chromosomal anomalies in baby. It is to be done with NT scan .

Hi. At 13 weeks it is mandatory to do NT scan and biochemical test for downs syndrome .
