Is Atarax drop if good for 1 month baby
Hello, My baby is of 34 days He is little thin and weight around 2.9kg He does not sleep in night, he cries and make us awake whole night, he want us to play with him in night and kept in jhula he starts crying. The doctor suggested to give Atarax drop( hydroxyzine hydrochloride) Is it safe to give this drop to my child, does it have side effect? As once I give this drop to my child, he farted 3-4 times and sleep properly at night So is it good to give him offenly and if yes how much ml is good to give.

That's usual sleep pattern of babies... Need not to give any medication..

Atarax is an  antihistaminic drug .It is not indicated in neonates .Moreover no drug is adviced to make baby sleep at this age . Day and night pattern takes time to develop .Till that time u have to modify your schedule accordingly.If the baby is crying excessively it could be colic for that you can consult your pediatrician
