Irritable bowel syndrome
Suffering from Irritable bowel syndrome since many years but now a days it is more frequent. 2 bowl movement in between on daily basis. whenever i am in stress, /anxiety it triggers During working hours when i have anxiety i feel urge to poop and that clears all my stomach whatever eaten during day. it is affecting my work and lifestyle. any suggestions are most welcome. thank you

Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you may have had a recent exacerbation to your otherwise previously well controlled IBS. Not uncommon these days given the precarious nature of our world we are currently living in. As far as the treatment goes, the first line is establishment of the clinician-patient relationship and continuity of care are critical to the management of all patients with IBS. In patients with mild and intermittent symptoms, I do not recommend using pharmacologic therapy for initial management. I begin with lifestyle and dietary modification (eg, exclusion of gas-producing foods; a diet low in fermentable oligo-, di-, and monosaccharides and polyols; and in select cases, lactose and gluten avoidance). Only in folks not responding to above measures, I may recommend a trial of pharmacologic agents for two to four weeks. I hope that was somewhat helpful. All the best!
