Irregular periods
Hi have irregular periods so planning to take yasmin 21 tablets along with glycomet 500mg. But am planning to conceive is there any side effect to get  pregnant.

Thank you for your question. If you are planning on getting pregnant Yasmin is not appropriate. You will need to let your gynaecologist know so that they will prescribe folic acid tablets. This is a vitamin you need to take when planning a pregnancy and till you reach 12 weeks gestation as it is required for the baby's neural tract development. Generally you need to take it for 3 months before you conceive. For most couples this is how long it can take to conceive once they start trying so I would suggest you see your gynaecologist soon. hope this helps
