[Each 5 ml of Syrup BANDY PLUS solution contains: Albendazole (200mg) + Ivermectin (1.5 mg)]....
Repeat the same after 2 weeks....
KINDLY NOTE:
(1) In case of any Neurological disorders/ medicines ongoing, to meet your Pediatrician/Ped Neurologist before taking this Medicine;
(2) History of known allergies to either of the Contents of the Medicine in the Family to be noted (Albendazole/ Ivermectin), if so then to meet your Pediatrician and discuss the pros and cons of taking this Medication. If already taken this Medicine in the past without any side effects then to proceed with the same.
Next Steps
Coming to the second issue in Query, Anemia:
(1) (A) It is always medically Right Way to look for the cause of Anemia firstly, especially if Your Child appears to be "Pale" in general (Lips/ Skin), "Irritable", eating non-nutritious unassuming things (known as "Pica", seen in Iron Deficiency) or putting things in mouth for longer time (which may look like a habit, for example, "chewing" things like the back of a pen or pencil), "short attention span" in general (loses concentration easily and can be distracted. NOTE: Although they may not only suggest Anemia but most likely cause is Iron Deficiency Anemia in a Healthy looking Child of this Age) OR
(B) If he has been diagnosed with Iron Deficiency Anemia in the past and treated for 1 to 3 months, even then to still consider checking the basic Hemogram and Peripheral Smear in order to know objectively whether the previously low parameters improved with previous Treatment/ No (That is, if there was any blood workup done in the Past, this comparison will Help. But even otherwise for the First Timers it is better to know the cause first).
(2) Tests most likely to yield better results would be --->
(a) Blood Hemogram (CBC),
(b) Peripheral Smear,
(c) Later ---> Iron studies (If Anemia is noted in the above Hemogram - Low Hb/ MCV low and Pale, small RBCs in Peripheral Smear reports).
(3) In the meantime, to encourage eating of naturally available Iron rich foods like ---> Jaggery (Instead of Sugar in everything the Child consumes); Dates ---> 8 to 10 (or more) dates per Day in divided form (maybe during Breakfast / Lunch and Evening Snack). To make sure child consumes Water (atleast 10-30 ml) after eating the dates.
Health Tips
(1) DO NOT CONSUME the Medication if there is a past history of Allergic tendencies to any of the contents of the Medicine noted in either of the Families (Mother's OR Father's) or elder sibling(s) of the child had any issues with those contents (If any).
(2) If vomiting or rash develops, to visit the nearest OPD/ Emergency Room Care and see a Pediatrician at the earliest, for further care and management.
(3) Likely side effects seen are mild pain abdomen for the child, especially post consumption for the first time (Note: To avoid or minimise this side effect ---> To ensure it's taken soon after the Dinner concludes).
