Iron infusion
I am 19 weeks pregnant with twins.. my hbg is 9 and ferritin is 10.5. My doctor suggested I should go for iron infusion. Is that safe? Should I go for it? Pls help..

Take Injection Iron Sucrose 100 mg in 100 ml of normal saline slow intravenous over 20-30 minutes every alternate day
Next Steps
Amount of iron sucrose required is weight multiplied by 2.3 multiplied by Hb Deficit plus 1000 mg for stores

Yes it is safe in pregnancy, your Hb should be more than 11 at the time of delivery.
