Insulin dosage for diabetic patient
Patient name: Venkata naidu Age: 70 y / male Diabetic :past 15years Patient profile : patient underwent bypass surgery on 14/5/17 He suffered mild heart attack on 5/5/17 He kept on insulin from 6/5/17 (till then only taking sugar tablet) Now doctor's said post surgery patient is better to keep on insulin and discharged on 19/5/17 Insulin 15units mrng and 10units night(glucose levels in hospital are also same as below fluctuate b/w 150 n 260) Today glucose levels are 149 and 251 pre and post brkfst Advice on insulin dosage is needed

Adjusting insulin doses depends on number of factors most important being type of insulin being used. In general u may increase night dose to control fasting and morning dose to control post meals.
